You’ll walk away with:
? A full introduction to attaching a zipper to the backing
? Practice loading the backing onto the longarm
? Basting a quilt on the longarm (no more back-breaking basting on the floor!)
? Auditioning thread, winding a bobbin, and changing thread on the machine
? Hands-on quilting practice
? Encouragement, support, and
Students must bring the following:
~Quilt top- Crib size or throw size
~Quilt backing- backing should be 8" larger than the quilt top (4" on each side)
Please note: Top and backing will be used to prepare for your first rental visit—during class, it will be used for setup only. You won’t be quilting it during certification. Therefore, batting is not required.
~Snack/drink or lunch as we'll be meeting during lunch time
We kindly ask that you arrive early to set up your work space, enjoy some leisurely browsing or shopping in the store, and get settled. This ensures we can get started right away and make the most of every minute of class!
Please remember to give us at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel your class. This gives us the opportunity to transfer your booking to another class or issue a refund in the form of a store gift card. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you soon!
