Students will learn how to create awesome quilting designs with two rulers. Yes, you read that correctly... 2 rulers!! You'll be amazed with the designs you can create with 2 rulers. During class, the instructor will also discuss thread selection. Handout for techniques will be provided in class. This ruler class instruction can be applied to domestic sewing machines and/or longarm quilting machines. Join us for this fun, informative class on rulers.
Students should bring the following items:
~Drawing/sketch pad
~Pencil
~Colored pencils (12pk for a $1 work just fine)
~2 small cutting rulers (6" square or smaller- will be used for marking)
~6" Circle quilting ruler
~Straight edge quilting ruler
| Instructor Bio: | Valorie Kasten While downhill skiing is very stress reducing for Valorie, quilting has become her favorite year round outlet from the rigors of life. Valorie took her first quilt class in 1999 at the urging of her grandmother. In 2008, she became enamored with modern quilting. No matter the style, the passion to explore modern quilting continues to this day. The black tea loving computer programmer lives in Anderson County, SC with her husband and two dogs. |
