Large Clam Up Zipper Pouch

Techniques covered in class:
~Machine quilting fabric on foam
~Adding pulls to zippers by the yard
~Adding zippers to the bag so that all raw seams are hidden
~Top stitching
~Add binding and gussets
Students must bring the following items:
(Items purchased at CQS for class will qualify for 15% discount)
-Sewing machine in good working order with new needle
-Power cord and foot pedal for sewing machine
-Zipper foot
-1/4" foot with guide (a standard 1/4" foot will work)
-Regular foot
-Walking foot is helpful but not required
-2 Empty Bobbins
-Fabric scissors
-Threads, black and one to match your outer fabric
-Stiletto
-Seam Ripper
-Standard clips
-Straight pins
-Frixion iron off pen
-18" or longer ruler
Bring a drink/snack or your lunch.
*Students may pick out fabrics at the studio any time after registration so matching thread can be selected
The studio will be open at 9:30am so please arrive early to set up so class can begin promptly at 10:00am
Please no perfume as some people have allergies and reactions to certain smells.

| Instructor Bio: | Charline been sewing since she was a little girl. Her mom taught her the basics and she's been hooked ever since. Sewing, stitching, and beading - if it involves thread and fabric, she loves it. And sharing her passion with others brings her so much joy. She started teaching sewing classes years ago and just lit up seeing the smiles on people's faces when they mastered a new technique or completed their first project. When she's not in her sewing room, you'll likely find her with some stitching in her hands or in the garden. The colors and textures of her flowers and plants inspire so much of her sewing and stitching work. Family, sewing, teaching, and gardening - those are the things that truly bring her happiness. |
