Class size: This class requires at least 4 students to take place, so invite your friends and make it a fun embroidery experience together! Maximum number of students is 6.
Techniques covered in class:
- Loading a design you have purchased (Instructor will send info.)
- Hooping fabric and stabilizer
- Beginning the embroidery project
- Troubleshooting as needed
What students need to bring to class?
- Embroidery machine and hoops
- Power cord
- Embroidery unit (if embroidery-only machine, this unit is permanently attached)
- Machine manual
- Purchased design (students will receive email detailing what design to purchase)
- Fabric, stabilizer, and thread needed for the project
A Clean Machine is a Happy Machine!
The studio opens 30 minutes before class begins. Please arrive early to set up your workstation so we can start right on time and make the most of our class together!
Need to cancel? No problem! Just let us know at least 48 hours in advance, and we’ll be happy to transfer you to another class or issue a refund in the form of a store gift card. Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 48 hours before class time are non-refundable.

| Skill Details: | Solid understanding of your embroidery machine, including how to find and begin using an embroidery design. |
| Requirements: | For club membership, your embroidery machine must have a USB connection, which accepts a USB/jump/thumb drive used to install embroidery files. Additionally, embroidery designs used require a minimum hoop size of 5”x7”. Don’t forget to bring lunch, snacks, and a drink! We’ll take a break during class so you can relax and recharge. |

| Instructor Bio: | A passion for hand embroidery introduced Donny Davis to the world of machine embroidery. Donny has been creating machine embroidered items for over five years. That may seem to be a short time; however, Donny has attended numerous classes and created scores of projects in that time. He has also won multiple ribbons at the Georgia National Fair for a couple of them. During this time, he has made mug rugs, hot pads, placemats, tiled wall hangings, free-standing lace decorations, 3D structures, and a detailed queen-size quilt. Donny has not only a passion for machine embroidery, but also in helping others achieve success using this artistic medium. |
