Ocean Waves Rope Bowl Class
Advanced Rope Bowl~ Ocean Waves
Techniques covered in class: Students will learn how to measure and design a swirl in the bottom and sides of a bowl.
Prerequisite for this class: Beginners Rope Bowl Class and have completed at least 2 or 3 bowls on your own.
Student must provide or bring:
Sewing machine with extension table, foot pedal and power cord (You will be working with soft rope, be sure your machine can handle this type of material. CQS nor the teacher are responsible for any damage to a machine that cannot handle rope material)
- Open toe foot and standard foot
- 2 Empty Bobbins
- 2 jean needles
- Frixion iron off pen- dark color
- Scissors with a small tip
- Scissors that you don't use for fabric and can cut rope
- Cream color thread and a thread to match the fabric you choose. (You can either pick out fabric the day of class or stop by the shop before hand.)
- Clips (standard size)
- Tape measure
- Glue Stick & cardboard
- Snack or lunch since we will not be done until 2
Kit includes: Rope, and a 1/2 yard of fabric, your choice from CQS
Instructor will provide straight pins, and a smiling face!!!
Please arrive early, the doors will open at 9:30am, to set up your work station so class can begin promptly at 10:00am
Please no perfume as some people have allergies and reactions to certain smells.

| Instructor Bio: | Charline been sewing since she was a little girl. Her mom taught her the basics and she's been hooked ever since. Sewing, stitching, and beading - if it involves thread and fabric, she loves it. And sharing her passion with others brings her so much joy. She started teaching sewing classes years ago and just lit up seeing the smiles on people's faces when they mastered a new technique or completed their first project. When she's not in her sewing room, you'll likely find her with some stitching in her hands or in the garden. The colors and textures of her flowers and plants inspire so much of her sewing and stitching work. Family, sewing, teaching, and gardening - those are the things that truly bring her happiness. |
